Chairman of the Audit Committee
Mr. Chew brings over 30 years of finance and accounting expertise, and a lifetime of active Chinatown community involvement to the Board of Directors.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist and Registered Investment Advisor working with his own New York City-based practice that he founded in 1988, after having 15 years of experience in commercial banking as Vice President at Citibank and Chase Manhattan Bank’s financial management departments. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs, and the KPMG Audit Committee Institute.
Mr. Chew is active in a number of community organizations in and around Manhattan’s Chinatown area. Current affiliations include Board member and former Treasurer of the Hamilton-Madison House, a non-profit settlement house located in Chinatown/Lower East Side/Two Bridges established to foster the well-being of vulnerable populations, Founding member and Trustee of the Rotary Foundation. Also, he is a Board member, Treasurer and former President of the Rotary Club of Chinatown, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service to help build goodwill and peace in the world.
Mr. Chew received a Masters of Business Administration with concentration in Accounting & Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
